Which website does your business actually need? F&B, repair, beauty & fashion: find your match

Last post I asked: what kind of website fits your business? Here's the by-industry answer, which tier, what it costs, matched to what you actually sell.

⚡ Quick answer

The right tier isn't about how big your business is. It's about how much a customer needs to see before they decide:

F&B (café / restaurant): single-page Starter from RM 590
On-site service / repair (aircon, plumbing, phone): single-page Plus from RM 1,000
Beauty / skincare / salon: 5-page corporate site from RM 2,500
Fashion / brand retail: 5-page site, or Shopify if selling online RM 2,500 / RM 10,000+

In my last post I ended with a question: what kind of website actually fits your business? A lot of you messaged me right after with the same follow-up: "So is it a single page or multiple pages? RM 590 or RM 2,500?"

So today I'll stop being vague and just match it up by industry. Before the list, one principle that makes the whole thing simple:

The number of pages you need isn't decided by how big your business is. It's decided by how much a customer needs to see before they trust you enough to act. Sell something people buy fast → one page. Sell trust and results → you need room to prove it.

01F&B: one page is enough (Starter, RM 590)

If you run a café, restaurant, dessert spot or food stall, a single page is all you need. A hungry customer decides fast. They only want to know: what do you sell, where are you, when are you open, does it look good, and how do I order or book a table?

All of that fits on one scroll: a mouth-watering hero photo, the menu (or a menu PDF), your hours, a Google Map pin, and a big WhatsApp button for reservations or delivery. No need for an "About Us" page nobody reads.

02On-site service & repair: single-page Plus (RM 1,000)

If you do on-site work (aircon, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, phone & laptop repair) I'd point you to the single-page Plus, RM 1,000. It's still one page, but it carries more, because the trust bar is higher: your customer is letting a stranger into their home, or handing over an expensive device.

So beyond the basics, this page needs trust signals that close the deal:

  • A clear service list with price ranges, so "how much ah?" is answered before they ask
  • Your service coverage area (which towns / PJ, KL, etc.)
  • A booking form or one-tap WhatsApp, plus real reviews and any warranty you offer

03Beauty / skincare / salon: a 5-page corporate site (RM 2,500)

If you're in beauty (nails, lashes, facials, a skincare brand, aesthetics or a salon) I'd go straight to a 5-page corporate site, RM 2,500. Here's why: you're not selling a quick meal, you're selling results and trust, and that simply doesn't fit on one page.

A customer choosing who touches their face will read a lot before booking. The pages earn that trust: a results gallery and before/after, services broken down with pricing, your credentials and certifications, an about page with your story, and a clean booking flow.

04Fashion / brand retail: a website, or actually an online store?

If you sell clothing or run a fashion brand, ask yourself one question first: do you want to showcase, or do you want to sell online? The answer decides everything.

  • Just showcasing: show the look book, drive people to your shop or to WhatsApp / IG to order: a 5-page corporate site (RM 2,500) is the right fit.
  • Actually selling online: customers add to cart, check out, you manage inventory and auto-calculate shipping: that's not a website, it's an online store. Go straight to Shopify, from RM 10,000.

Don't force a single page to carry a brand with 50 SKUs, and don't pay for a full Shopify store if you only sell through DM. Match the tool to how you actually take money.

05Still not sure? Three questions to place yourself

Your trade might not be on the list above, but the logic still works. Answer these three:

  • 1. How much does a customer need to read before deciding? Little → single page. A lot → multi-page.
  • 2. Do you need customers to pay on the website itself? Yes → Shopify. No → a landing page or corporate site.
  • 3. What wins you the customer? Speed and convenience → one page is plenty. Expertise and trust → you need pages to prove it.

Same studio, four different right answers: the tier follows what a customer needs to see before they act, not how big you are.

One more thing: whichever tier you land on, every site I build comes with WhatsApp integration, basic SEO and Google tracking as standard, and you can always start small and upgrade later. If you want the full price breakdown for each tier, I laid it all out in my last post.

The whole thing, in one line

The right website = how much a customer must see before acting × whether they pay you online. Sell fast → one page. Sell trust → more pages. Sell online → Shopify.

There's no "best" website, only the one that fits your business right now. Start with the tier that matches, and grow it when you're ready.

Questions I get asked a lot

How many pages does a restaurant or café website need? +
One page is enough for F&B: the Starter single-page landing site from RM 590. Before ordering, a customer wants three things: what you serve, where you are and when you open, plus the menu, a Google Map pin and WhatsApp for reservations or delivery. All of it fits on one page, so a multi-page site is not needed.
Which website suits an on-site service business like aircon, plumbing or phone repair? +
On-site service and repair businesses want the enhanced single page, from RM 1,000. It carries one layer more than F&B: letting a stranger into the house or handing over something valuable takes more trust signals, clear services and pricing, coverage areas, an online booking form, genuine reviews and a warranty promise. Still one page, but denser.
What kind of website does a beauty, skincare or salon business need? +
For beauty, nails, lashes, skincare brands and salons, go straight to the 5-page corporate website, from RM 2,500. What you sell is results and trust, and that takes a portfolio, before-and-after shots, itemised services, credentials and a booking system: more than one page can hold.
Selling clothes: website or Shopify store? +
It depends on whether you want to display or to sell online. If you are presenting the brand, driving people to the shop or taking orders over WhatsApp and Instagram, a 5-page corporate website at RM 2,500 is enough. If customers need a cart, online checkout, automatic shipping rates and stock management, that is a store: go straight to Shopify, from RM 10,000.
How do I tell whether my business needs a single page or several? +
Look at three things. One, how much a customer needs to read before ordering: little means one page, a lot means several. Two, whether they pay on the site: yes means Shopify, no means a landing page or a corporate site. Three, what wins you the customer: speed and convenience are fine on one page, while expertise and trust need more pages to show.
