⚡ Quick answer
Hiring me to build a website is four steps, and the only one that needs you is the first one:
Whole thing takes 3 days to 2 weeks. You don't need to prepare copy or photos, just be ready to describe your business. And the finished site is yours to own, with no compulsory monthly fee.
Most weeks, my WhatsApp fills up with two kinds of question: "how much?" and "can you do a website for a business like mine?" I'm happy to answer both. But after enough of these chats, I noticed the real blocker is usually a third question people don't say out loud: "I don't even know what the whole process looks like, so I keep putting it off."
That's fair. You're about to hand money and your brand to a stranger, for something you can't fully picture. So let me take the mystery out of it. Below is exactly what happens from the moment you tap that first WhatsApp message, to the moment your site goes live.
Most people don't get stuck because building a website is hard. They get stuck because the unknown makes it feel hard. Once you can see the whole path, you'll realise it's simpler than you thought, and that you have to do far less than you imagined.
01First, the real reason you keep putting it off
When I ask people why they waited so long, it's almost never "I didn't want one." It's a stack of small fears, and they're all about not knowing what's coming:
- "It'll be a hassle. I'm too busy." You picture endless meetings and homework on top of already running the whole business yourself.
- "I don't understand the tech stuff." You're afraid you'll be asked about hosting, domains, code, and feel stupid.
- "What if it comes out ugly and I'm stuck with it?" The nightmare: you pay, you wait, you get something you hate, and it's too late.
- "Will I be locked into paying forever?" You've heard stories of monthly fees that never stop, or a site you don't really own.
Hold those four in your head. Because the four steps below were basically shaped to answer them: one by one. Let's walk through it.
02Step 1 · Discovery, and the one thing you actually have to do
It starts with a chat: one WhatsApp conversation or a voice call, free, no obligation. There's no form to fill, no document to prepare. You just need to be able to describe your business out loud. I'll ask you four simple things:
- What do you sell? Your product or service, in your own words.
- Who's your customer? Who you're trying to reach, and what they care about.
- What do you want a visitor to do? Message you on WhatsApp? Make a booking? Place an order? This becomes the goal the whole site is built around.
- Any look you love or hate? Send me a site or two you like. That's enough. No design vocabulary needed.
Notice what's not on that list: you don't need finished copy, you don't need professional photos, and you definitely don't need to understand a single line of code. If you don't have writing or images, that's normal: sorting those out is my job, not yours. This step answers fear #1 and #2: it's one conversation, and the technical part never lands on you.
Want to feel how light step 1 is? Just send me one line on WhatsApp telling me what your business does. I'll reply with what kind of site would fit and a rough price. Free, no pressure, no hard sell.
💬 WhatsApp us →03Step 2 · Design & Build. You approve before I build
Here's the part people worry about most, so here's exactly how I de-risk it: I don't disappear and build the whole thing blind. First I turn our chat into a design, the colours, the layout, the structure, the order things appear in. You look at that and approve it. Only after you're happy do I start actually building.
Then I build the actual site, and three things come built in as standard, not paid add-ons: a one-tap WhatsApp button on every page, basic SEO so Google can find you, and Google Analytics so you can later see who's visiting. (I explained why that wiring matters in the post on connecting your loop.) Throughout this step, you don't touch any code. You're the approver, not the builder.
04Step 3 · Review. This is your "what if I don't like it" insurance
Once it's built, you get a preview link: the real, working website, opened right on your phone. You click around, read every line, tap the buttons. Then you get two rounds of revisions to fine-tune the copy, the layout, the small details. Don't like a colour, a headline, the order of a section? Tell me, I change it.
This is the step that kills fear #3. The nightmare of "I paid, and I'm stuck with something I hate" can't happen here, because nothing goes live until you're genuinely happy with it. You see it, you say it, I fix it, then, and only then, we launch.
05Step 4 · Launch & Track, and how long the whole thing takes
When you're happy, we go live: I point your domain at the finished site, switch it on, and set up GA4 properly. Then I don't just hand you the keys and vanish. I show you how to read your own visitor data, so "how many people came this month, and where from" becomes a question you can answer yourself.
How long, end to end? 3 days to 2 weeks, depending on the plan: a single landing page is usually 3–7 days, a full 5-page site about 1–2 weeks. Honestly, most of the calendar time isn't me building; it's waiting on your approval and your revision notes. The faster you reply, the faster you're live.
06So what does it cost, and is the site really mine?
Pricing is flat and upfront, so there's no surprise at the end. The starting points:
And the answer to fear #4: the finished site is yours. It's an asset you own, not something you rent from me. There's no compulsory monthly fee, only domain and hosting are billed separately at their real cost (a small yearly amount). That's the whole difference between a website and renting space on someone else's platform: a WhatsApp or social account can change its rules or ban you overnight, and you can't do a thing, your own site, you actually hold.
Not sure which tier your business even needs? I broke it down by industry (F&B, repair, beauty, fashion) in this post. And if you want the full cost picture (DIY vs done-for-you, build time, maintenance), I laid that out in the pricing post.
The whole thing, in one line
The process was never the scary part: the unknown was. Now you've seen all four steps: one chat from you, a design you sign off, a preview you fine-tune, and a live site you own. That's it. The only step left is the first one.
